NutriOptio & NutriOptio Pro — operated by NutriOptio LLC

Our short promise. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with ad networks. We don't use your Diet Coach chats to train external AI models. You can delete every record we hold by sending one email — or, for Pro accounts, tapping a button inside the app.

1. Who we are

NutriOptio is a food-intelligence and nutrition-coaching platform operated by NutriOptio LLC ("NutriOptio", "we", "our", "us"). This policy covers our public website at nutrioptio.com and our subscription product, NutriOptio Pro.

2. What we collect, and why

What we deliberately do NOT collect: Social Security number, government ID, precise geolocation, race, religion, sexual orientation, union membership, immigration status, biometric data, genetic data, diagnoses, prescriptions, or any other Protected Health Information (PHI). NutriOptio is not a HIPAA-covered service.

3. How we use AI, and what stays private

When you search for a food, upload a photo, scan a barcode, or chat with Diet Coach, your request is processed inside NutriOptio's enterprise AI infrastructure. This infrastructure runs under an enterprise data-protection commitment that guarantees your prompts and responses are never used to train any external or public AI model.

Your chats stay tied to your account and are visible only to you. We do not sell them, do not share them with advertisers, and do not use them to train any AI model that anyone outside NutriOptio could access.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Our public marketing pages use NutriOptio analytics cookies to count aggregate traffic. Our Pro web app uses browser localStorage and a service-worker cache to keep you signed in and let the app work offline. The Pro app does not set tracking cookies. 5. Categories of service providers we use

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We use a small set of vetted service providers strictly to operate NutriOptio. Each is bound by a written contract that prohibits using your information for any purpose other than delivering the service to you. They handle data on NutriOptio's behalf, not for their own purposes.

Cloud hosting & database infrastructure — runs the NutriOptio application, stores your account, and serves the API. All servers operate in the United States.
Enterprise AI infrastructure — powers food recognition, photo scan, and Diet Coach. Operates under a contractual no-training, no-public-model-exposure commitment.
Authentication infrastructure — verifies your sign-in (Google or Apple sign-in tokens).
PCI-compliant payment processor — handles your card details on a secure, hosted checkout. NutriOptio never sees or stores your full card number.
NutriOptio analytics — aggregate, non-advertising traffic measurement on the public marketing site only. Not enabled inside the Pro app.
Public food databases — barcode lookups go to an open public food database. We send only the numeric barcode, never your identity.

We may disclose information if compelled by valid legal process (subpoena, court order). When legally permitted, we will notify you first.

6. Your California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act: the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit use of sensitive personal information, and not be retaliated against for exercising those rights. We extend the same process to residents of every U.S. state with comparable laws (Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, Utah, Oregon, and others).

Exercise your rights on the Your Privacy Choices page, or email privacy@nutrioptio.com. We confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 calendar days.

We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under CCPA / CPRA, and we honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as a valid opt-out.

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data only as long as your account is active or as long as needed to provide the service. When you delete your Pro account — one tap inside the app, or an email to privacy@nutrioptio.com — we delete all your meals, activities, profile, and chat history within 30 days. We may retain a minimal record of the deletion event for legal, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes.

8. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher) and at rest (AES-256). Production databases are operated by NutriOptio inside enterprise-grade United States cloud infrastructure. Access is limited to authorized NutriOptio engineers under audit. We do not, however, claim that no system is unbreakable — if a security incident affects your data, we will notify you and the relevant regulators as required by law.

9. Children's privacy

NutriOptio is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Our Pro service requires users to be 16 or older. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, email privacy@nutrioptio.com and we will delete it.

10. International users

NutriOptio Pro is currently available only to residents of the United States. Our public informational site is accessible globally, but personal data is processed and stored on servers located in the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer of your information to the U.S.

11. Health disclaimer

NutriOptio provides general informational content about food, nutrition, and activity. It is not medical advice, not a diagnostic tool, and not a substitute for consulting a licensed healthcare professional. Always consult a qualified provider before making decisions about your health or diet.

12. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes that affect Pro subscribers, we will also email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
